A Safety barrier otherwise known as concertina gates or road closure barrier, can be used for a wide range of situations, and comes in a variety of shapes and sizes depending on your needs. Read further to find out why safety barriers are important.

WORKPLACE SAFETY

Workplace safety barriers can help to prevent and reduce workplace accidents if used effectively. Safety barriers can make staff aware of higher risk situations. Lighter weight barriers often are used to control the direction of traffic, with fixed barriers more often used in dangerous situations.

INDICATE NO ACCESS AREAS

Safety barriers work on both a physical and psychological level to indicate an area where people should not go. This can be particularly beneficial for emergency situations such as at road traffic accidents or riots, or large scale events such as festivals or sporting events.

PROTECT ITEMS FROM DAMAGE

Stock and equipment can also be damaged in workplace accidents. Safety barriers are an effective risk mitigation strategy where it isn't possible to reduce the risk entirely.
